Acrylic sheet, also known as PMMA, offers a wide range of benefits to every application it serves. When used in light, it naturally resists yellowing and absorbs a significant portion of the UV spectrum. Acrylic sheet does not require a special filter or film to provide the added benefit of UV protection, however, UV resistant acrylic sheet is available to provide enhanced protection when needed. Acrylic sheet is a preferred material for a variety of applications due to its ability to retain its clarity and brilliance, even after fabrication and installation.

Acrylic sheet is less expensive than glass and polycarbonate sheets. Acrylic is also 17 times more impact resistant than glass, can be polished smooth and is easier to cut than polycarbonate. Note that acrylic sheets are very rigid and can easily crack and chip.
